Insieme Wines 2016 Malbec was aged for 48 months in older and neutral oak for an approximate 35% new oak equivalent. It has a deep Ruby Red color that is fairly concentrated. The bouquet opens with aromas of black cherry and raspberry. The 10% blend of Tempranillo adds subtle hints of dill. The very modest regimen of oak adds the slightest hint of mocha and leather. The mouthfeel is dry, medium+ viscosity with soft and silky tannins and good acidity for a clean finish. The palate opens to a mouthful of black cherry and dill layered with chocolate. With a little time, it picks up hints vanilla with a touch of pepper and raisins. The finish is dry but layered with fruit.
